The Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) will hold its Alumni Association Annual General Meeting on 30 November 2019. This event seeks to bring together different generations of graduates under one roof as part of the university Alumni relations management efforts.
The event will be attended by eminent health practitioners from across the country who graduated from both Medunsa and SMU over the years. “The university encourages its Alumni to remain part of the institution and make a meaningful contribution in its affairs through established structures”, said Prof Ayo-Yusuf, SMU Acting Vice Chancellor. “As a university we are also proud of the outstanding achievements of our Alumni in their various fields notably the recent award given to the Chairperson of our Alumni Association, Dr Solomon Motlanthe during the national health excellence awards”, concluded Prof Ayo-Yusuf.
Gauteng Health MEC Dr Bandile Masuku, who is also an alumni of the university will give the key note address during the AGM.
SMU and its predecessor universities have produced great health care practitioners over the years who are playing a critical role to address the health needs of the country.
