This award recognises the Residence House Committee as a collective structure, not an individual, for demonstrating outstanding teamwork, leadership, and commitment to enhancing the residence community.
Nomination Criteria:
The nominated Residence House Committee must:
• House Committee that promptly attends to student issues within the residence and ensures timely referral to the relevant departments.
• Demonstrate effective teamwork and shared leadership in executing its mandate.
• High participation and support in the events initiated by Student Affairs.
• Organise programmes that foster a culture of learning, personal growth, and holistic student development within the residence.
• Promote inclusivity, social cohesion, and cultural integration among residence students.
• Maintain discipline and contribute meaningfully to the reduction of behavioural incidents.
• Provide documented evidence of activities, initiatives, and measurable impact.
• Show active collaboration with the Coordinator: Residences and engagement with students.
Nominees must: • Implement an innovative project addressing contemporary issues affecting students. • Promote student development (academic, wellness, leadership, or social responsibility). • Show student participation and engagement levels. • Provide comprehensive documentation of planning, execution, and outcomes and initiate projects.
RESIDENCE OF THE YEAR
Nominees must:
• Demonstrate a high number of developmental programmes implemented and maximum participation in the events of Student Affairs.
• Show positive measurable impact on the academic and social well-being of residents.
• Promote a culture of respect, diversity, and accountability.
• Show collaboration between the House Committee, students, and management.
• Able to address cleanliness, safety, and a good living environment in the residence.
