Course Details

This course provides hands-on training in basic microsurgical techniques. Even the skills of those surgeons who may not use microsurgery techniques, are enhanced; more importantly, their respect for handling tissue will increase.

The course involves 80 hours of intensive individual one-on-one laboratory instruction in microsurgical techniques, including the use of the operating room microscope, micro-instruments, micro-suture, and live animal models. The learning process is conducted through one-on-one lessons and is closely monitored by the instructor, who provides guidance through feedback and skill evaluation throughout the entire course.

Certification

The course is competency-based training and the candidates are awarded with a certificate after successful completion of the course. It is, therefore, our goal as a training facility to produce competent professionals capable of meeting the healthcare needs of the society.

Accreditation

The Microsurgery course is accredited by Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University to provide CPD points for the trainees attending the course. The 10-day course carries CEU Level 1 (30 General Points)
