Professor Hannelie Meyer receives a C2 rating from the National Research Foundation (NRF)

Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) Researcher and Academic Professor Hannelie Meyer has received recognition as a National Research Foundation (NRF) rated Researcher. Prof Meyer now holds a C2 rating from NRF following rigorous national and international review processes.

Prof Meyer is currently serving as the Head of the South African Vaccination and Immunisation Centre (SAVIC) at SMU and a Professor in the School of Pharmacy. Her vast knowledge and expertise in the field of Vaccines and Immunization continue to contribute to the National efforts to fight Covid-19 and she continues to share her
knowledge through the mainstream media platforms.

In receiving the good news, Prof Meyer thanked her colleagues at SMU for encouraging her to submit the application.

SMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Peter Mbati􀆟 has congratulated Prof Hannelie Meyer for the achievement.
