Announcement of Mr Khohliso as Deputy Registrar: Academic Administration

It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Sylvester Khohliso as Deputy Registrar: Academic Administration at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU). Mr Khohliso has commenced employment on 1 March 2022, and reports to the Registrar. SMU is fortunate to have attracted the services of the calibre of Mr. Khohliso, who comes with impeccable credentials and experience in academic administration, as a former Deputy Registrar in one of the public universities in South Africa.

Mr Khohliso has extensive academic administration experience honed in the Higher Education sector. His experience straddles such areas as assessment administration, including graduation management activities and academic administration systems development and optimisation to mention but a few.

Apart from Master of Business Administration (MBA), Mr. Khohliso holds a string of qualifications, including Bachelor of Technology: Management and Diploma: Commercial Practice. I wish to welcome Mr Khohliso to the University, and looks forward to his contribution as we strive to improving the overall performance of the Academic Administration Department, and by extension, the overall development of SMU.
