Appointment of Prof Ayo-Yusuf appointed to Gauteng Covid-19 Advisory Committee

SMU DVC for Research, Postgraduate Studies AND Innovation Prof Olalekan Ayo-Yusuf has been appointed by Gauteng Premier David Makhura to serve on the Corona virus disease 2019 (Covid-19) Advisory Committee.

 

This high level advisory council will provide expertise on matters pertaining to measures implemented by the Gauteng provincial government to deal with Covid-19.

 

Amongst other things, the committee will be responsible for providing advice and developing a Covid-19 Risk-Adjusted strategy for Gauteng province.

 

The University congratulates Prof Ayo-Yusuf and wish him well for this assignment.

Revised 2020 Academic Calendar

Purpose.

To inform members of the University Community of the decisions of the Executive Committee of Senate supported by MANCO regarding a final revised academic calendar of the University, informed by the stage 4 lockdown regulations announced at the end of April 2020, and the subsequent briefing to the nation by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology held on 30 April 2020.
