SMUREC Application

In order to submit a research application online, researchers and post graduate students will need to have their SMU email address available. Should you not have a smu.ac.za email address, you will need to Register to obtain an interim email address that will only be valid for a specified timeframe.

Important to Note: Email addresses from other domains e.g. gmail.com are not accepted for login, but may be used once registered on the system to receive correspondence.

If you experience problems with registration, please do not delay your application since a manual application form is also available for download in the interim

Kindly ensure that the completed Application Form together with all supporting documents (as outlined in the Checklist) is sent to rec@smu.ac.za
