Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery
Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery
Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery is the specialty that combines surgical training with dental expertise for the treatment of diseases, injuries, tumors, and deformities of the mouth, jaws, and face. The specialty forms the natural bridge between the clinical disciplines of dentistry and medicine.
The department serves a vital role in various intra- and inter-departmental collaborations, including Head and Neck Oncology, Plastic Surgery, ENT, and the multidisciplinary cleft lip and palate team. Maxillofacial and oral surgeons manage a wide variety of conditions relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions, ranging from dental implants, jaw reconstruction, treatment of infections, facial trauma, oral pathology, orthognathic surgery, management of salivary gland diseases, temporomandibular joint disorders, and advanced minor oral surgery. We are dedicated to training both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as providing excellent patient care.
